Aaldering Vineyards and Wines is located in one of the most beautiful wine districts of Stellenbosch.

Marianne & Fons Aaldering’s aspiration to produce one of South Africa’s best wines began to come into fruition in 2004 when they bought a 27 hectare estate in Devon Valley, Stellenbosch. This was the birth of Aaldering Vineyards & Wines, a company focused on delivering premium quality wines to wine lovers all around the world. Along the years a devoted team was gathering which characterises itself as being young, professional, dynamic and international.

The Aaldering Wines

The Aaldering family is dedicated to produce the best wines of South Africa. Continuous investment in high quality as well as sustainability are the main disciplines taken into respect to achieve this goal. Under the watchful eye of a devoted staff, recruited from local communities, the delicate winemaking process in our winery with cutting-edge winemaking technology results in a range of mesmerizing premium wines. The boutique, artisan Aaldering wines are characterised by their undeniably focused and carefully crafted flavours and aromas. A highly sophisticated wine making process as well as a devoted team have allowed this dream to flourish into a great success.

The Vineyards

Situated in scenic Devon Valley Stellenbosch, Aaldering Vineyards and Wines is inspired by the vineyard’s natural beauty and is further enhanced by the site-specific terroir and natural surroundings. The 24-hectare estate boasts a unique and special microclimate which results in flourishing vines producing top-quality grapes. Devon Valley is known for its free-draining, red loamy sandy Hutton and Clovelly soils. The enthusiasm and professionalism of the viticulturist and his team are key to growing perfect grapes. Preserving nature, hand-harvesting in low yields and careful berry selection guarentee purity and longevity in the Aaldering wines.

Our Values

We’re proud to be part of the elite “Enviro Wines” group. This puts us amongst the top-class of IPW (Integrated Production of Wine) accredited wine producers. The cellars that score exceptionally high on sustainability on both Farm and Winery practices are invited to join the elite group, to date only 10 wineries in South Africa are awarded this status. From the early beginning in 2007 Aaldering have been making their wines exclusively with grapes from their family-owned estate which has resulted in the Estate wine status. The Estate wine status goes along with the loyalty towards IPW and Enviro Wines and puts us in good stead to keep making world class wines
